Faculty/Staff
The strength of our program is the experience, expertise, and dedication of our child care staff. We support the teachers with training, resources, and the freedom to create a unique early childhood education environment. We provide many opportunities for the teachers to share ideas and grow professionally. Our teachers create a caring and nurturing atmosphere that fosters each child's creativity and positive self-image.
All child care teachers have taken and successfully completed the 90-hour child development and child care activities classes through an accredited college. In addition to the experience and age requirements, all Senior staff employees must meet the state licensing requirement for successful completion of continuing education classes, workshops, and seminars. These requirements must be updated yearly.
Meet the Director
Kelly Morrison has been the Director of Annapolis Child Development Center since 2005. She was born and raised in Annapolis. Kelly is the mother of 5 –Patrick, Bridget, Maggie, Brian and Sean. She and her husband live in Severna Park. Prior to working at Annapolis CDC day care center, Kelly was a second grade teacher in Anne Arundel County and was then a stay-home mom. She loves being back in the education field and enjoys the daily interaction with the children and the families at the child care center.
Nicole Bowman is part of the administrative team! She started out as a teacher here at ACDC in 2004 and has moved into the assistant director role. Ms. Nikki does it all - substituting in classrooms, guest reading, giving tours, meeting with teachers and children, helping with activites, planning summer events, creating menues, and everything you could think of! Ms. Nikki lives in Suitland with her husband David. She has a very close knit family who she enjoys spending time with. If Ms. Nikki isn't here at the center, she is probalby off traveling to one of the many places she like to vacation to!

Infants
Ms. Tyhesha Colbert... I have been working at Annapolic Child Development Center for 13 years! I have a 16 year old son who will be a Junior at Annapolis High School. I love working with the infants, and I am excited to see them change and grow throughout the year.
Ms. Angela Brown... Ms. Angie is infant/toddler qualified and is a teacher in our infant room. She has been working at Annapolic Child Development Center for 15 years. She has been in Annapolis her whole life. "I love working with the babies and watching them grow!"
Toddlers
Ms. Alexa Ms. Alexa has been working at ACDC for many years. She is infant/toddler and preschool qualified. Ms.Alexa always has a high energy classroom with lots of fun and activity!
Ms. Laila.... Ms. Laila has been at ACDC for a great year! She has become infant/toddler qualified and has been a great addition to our team. Ms. Laila continues to learn and develop her teaching skills!
Ms. Katie.....Ms. Katie is senior staff and infant/toddler certified. She has been with us at ACDC for almost a year! Ms. Katie has a very gentle, loving, and kind way to her interaction and teaching of the children. She is extremely great at what she does and a favorite of all!!!
Two's
Ms. Ashley.....Has been working at Annapolis Child Development Center for 2 years but has been in child care for many more years that that! She has a very organized classroom and an amazing curriculum!
Ms. Lisa Isom.... Ms. Isom comes to us with years of experience in child care. She is super energenic and loves to have a classroom that is full of life too! Children learn so much from Ms. Isom while having the best time and most fun doing it! She has many tricks up her sleeve and tons of things to share!
Ms. Nora... Ms. Nora has been a teacher assistant here for the past 18 years. She has 3 children and 1 grandchild. Ms. Nora is able to work in any classroom and with any age group. She does it all!
Pre-School
Ms. Stephanie... Ms. Stephanie is the teacher for our Preschoolchildren. She does a fantastic job getting all the children in her class ready for Pre-K and beyond. She has been in our preschool program for many years and has been abslutely wonderful! She is mom to Brandon, Kai and Ryan.
Ms. Kierra - Ms. Kierra has been at ACDC for many years. She is infant/toddler and preschool qualified. She has spent time in most of our classrooms and has recently returned to our pre-k program. She is a fantastic teacher to all of our age groups and all the children benefit from her kind, gently and patient way of teaching. Ms. Kierra is mom to Ari.
Ms. Kayleigh... Ms. Kayleigh has been a teacher assistant here for the past year. She has spent time with almost all of the age groups and is a favorite to all the children.
